Ultimately, it came down to this weekend. The 21E’s were all over their opponents, far and away the better team on the day, but were unable to put them away. In previous years, Presidents from other clubs had told me how bitter a “loss” from a draw to a team higher the table was. I guess until Saturday, I had never really thought too much about it. Our 21E’s beat the minor premiers in the first semi final, and should have won here. Nothing can give them a premiership, but hopefully they will all hold their heads high for what they have done.
The W30C’s were in the alternate position, of only needing a draw. Unfortunately, when the opposition scored the first goal, they were always chasing. In a gallant performance, they tied things up with a great equaliser and were in the game until late in the 2nd half. They too, should hold their heads high for their performance in being Minor Premiers. Well done to both teams, coaches, managers, families and friends. We are all proud of you.
Presentation Day/Night
The Junior Presentation Day is on Saturday 1st of September, 2012 – 12:00 Noon till 4:00 pm, at Preston Park.
Presentations start at 2:30 pm. My fellow media star, the other clown, is due between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
All families in Junior teams should have received a flyer through your manager with all the details.
The Senior Presentation Night is Saturday the 15th of September, 2012, at the St Moritz Reception Centre, Station St, Engadine
7:00 pm for 7:30 pm
Cost is $31 per head. Please confirm numbers and payment by 9th September, contact Neville Bethe.

The Committee work hard throughout the season AND the off season, to ensure things run as smoothly as they can. With our season over, we can turn to other sports, pastimes and ventures.
