The redevelopment of our outdated clubhouse facilities is another step closer with the announcement of a major grant from the NSW Government.
Lee Evans, State Member for Heathcote, has announced that Engadine Crusaders Football Club will be given $27,000 as part of the Community Building Partnership Grants program.
He said that there were more than 3,000 applications for the grants across the state with 18 awarded in the state seat of Heathcote, demonstrating the importance of the redevelopment project for the future of our club.
“I look forward to seeing the benefits of these local projects announced today as they are undertaken and more importantly put into use,” Mr Evans said.
Engadine Crusaders Football Club President, Jim Hankins, welcomed the funding.
“This is fantastic news for our club and for the 300 members that will use these new facilities when they’re built in 2015,” Jim said.
“We’ve been fundraising and saving for the redevelopment of our club for around a decade and this grant from the NSW Government will go a long way to helping us meet the budget we need to bring these facilities up to an acceptable standard.
“I would like to thank our local MP Lee Evans for his support and for helping to deliver this funding to our club and our members. The redevelopment of our clubhouse will help to ensure the long term sustainability of our club and this grant will make a big difference for so many people in our community now and into the future after this project is complete.”
