After starting the season so well with 2 wins from 2 starts, we came crashing back down this week in the local derby, going down 6-1 to the Eagles.
They kept getting clean ball to their attackers better than what we were doing, so were able to put a few goals through us early. Their scoring dried up in the 2nd half as Raiden stuck on their best player, so he wasn’t able to score again for the rest of the match, good job Rayman..!
We had a few genuine chances right in front too, but unfortunately, luck just wasn’t with us this week. Braeden created his own luck though, with an amazing goal/cross in front of the canteen crowd, taking his personal tally to 4 goals in 3 games.
Brooke was awarded player of the match for her tireless running and defending, with other notable mentions being to Josh, who had his best game, and Tahlia, who always puts her body on the line with no fear.
We need to work on staying in our positions on the field & our long passing. Hopefully with a few injured and missing players returning next week we can get back to the winners list.
